This past weekend the Hubs and I ran off for a night and a day. We didn't go far. We didn't go to a big fancy five star hotel. We did eat at a five star restaurant. We ran off to our little cabin on the ranch. We dined in style on steak cooked to perfection on an open fire then sat and enjoyed a wonderful cool evening looking at the night sky and reveling in the quietness and stillness. A perfect evening.
Rest for the soul.
The past almost two years have been rough. I don't know a person that has not been affected by this mess that we are in. I personally think that what we experienced over the past months is only the tip of the iceberg. The enemy wants to wreck our lives. That is his sole purpose. The Bible speaks of him as a "roaring lion seeking whom he may devour." Ephesians tells us this....Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Do any of y'all feel like you have been in a fight?
Thats because you have.
And you will continue to be.
Until Jesus comes to take us home.
Ephesians 6, 13
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you maybe able to withstand in the evil day, and having do all to stand.
Stand for good.
Reject evil.
Rest. God has this.
