When they finish their testimony,

the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit

will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. (Re 11:7)

God is not done with you yet!

If you are reading this, then I want to put before you that simple thought again: since you are reading this – God is not done with you yet!

In Revelation 11 we see a real event, but I also believe it is a Spiritual Principle.

The real event in Revelation 11 is when the Two Witnesses, that God will empower during the coming great tribulation, testify and resist the Antichrist. The Antichrist is described in this verse as “the beast. The reality pictured for us here is that even this satanically empowered individual will not be able to stop these two witnesses until they are done. When they finish what God has for them, then he is able to overcome them and kill them.

The spiritual principle is this: we are immortal until God is finished with us. I use the term immortal here, not referring to our soul that does and will live forever, but speaking of our physical life. Again, the point then is that satan and this world cannot rob us of our life here until God is done with us. I challenge you to ponder this thought for a few minutes today.

Such confidence does well against fear. We live in a day that fears abound. People are afraid of nuclear war, severe persecution, political intimidation and even the Swine Flu. These and many other such things cause people to live in tremendous fear. Yet Christian, none of these things are sovereign in your life! God and God alone is sovereign in and over your life. I strongly believe nothing, not even a satan empowered man like the Antichrist can rob you of your life before its time. Today – believe this and deal a blow to fear!

Such confidence helps keep us at our task God has for us. If you are reading this, then you are alive! Simple statement, I know, but it is true. God still has you here, and I believe He still has a purpose for your life. If He was done with you, then I believe you would be in heaven. You are here, not in heaven. Therefore again – I believe God has preserved your life to this point for a purpose. If you are buying into satan’s lie that God is done with you, then hear me clearly – it is not true. I am not saying that sin might not have cost you some of what God would have done – it is possible. Yet, God is not done – the future still stands before you. If you are alive – God is not done with you yet!

Christian, God is not done with you yet! You are still here! Today – I call you to seek to be about His business in the time He has given you. I love the description in the verse above about what the two witnesses did. It says “they finish their testimony”. It is this specifically that I want to call you to. Today, take heart and specifically seek to be about and finish all that God has for you in this life!

But none of these things move me;

nor do I count my life dear to myself,

so that I may finish my race with joy,

and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus,

to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. (Ac 20:24)

you shall go to all to whom I send you,

And whatever I command you, you shall speak.

Do not be afraid of their faces,

For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord. (Jer 1:7-8)

Thanks for the Word, M! I had my volume turned up when I visited your blog, and Quade was absolutely enthralled by the jingle jangle jingle song! He sat here and just listened and stared, it was too cute!
